Google Assistant Hack

Google assistant is great for reading a webpage however, some pages aren't readable because they're either behind a paywall or some other obscure reason which Google Assistant doesn't explain. I wanted to listen to a web page found on the IEEE web page while I was driving.

First I tried to have Google Assistant read it but it said it could not read that page. Then, I thought well I'll just copy the text of the page and paste it into Notepad and open that in a web browser. Google Assistant was unable to read the text that was saved locally on my phone.

My next idea, which was successful, was to use the Blogger app to create a new post. In the post I pasted the contents of the web page that I wanted to listen to. Next, I copied the link to the post and opened it in Google Chrome. Finally, after the web page opened, I ask Google Assistant to read the page. Success!
